# Account and sign-in

Sign in with your Luw\.ai account, see what demo mode can and can't do, switch accounts, and set your language, theme and sound.

Luw\.ai Studio has no separate login. You use your Luw\.ai account, the same one that works on luw\.ai and app.luw\.ai, and everything that belongs to it comes along: your projects, your credit balance, the 3D models and textures you've generated, and your AI renders.

## Sign in

1. Click **Sign in** at the right end of the top bar. While you're signed out, the amber **Demo mode — sign in to save & render with AI** button in the middle of the bar does the same thing.
2. The Studio takes you to app.luw\.ai. Sign in there, or create an account if you don't have one yet. The sign-in page uses the language you picked in the Studio.
3. When you're done, app.luw\.ai sends you straight back to the Studio, to the page you left from.

Once you're signed in, the top bar changes: the **Sign in** button becomes a round purple **Account menu** button, your [credit balance](/luw.ai-studio/account/credits.md) appears beside it, and the project selector shows up next to the logo. If no project was open, your most recently saved one opens. A brand-new account gets a fresh project called **Untitled Plan**. [Projects and saving](/luw.ai-studio/getting-started/projects-and-saving.md) explains what happens from there.

The Studio keeps you signed in on that browser until you sign out or your session runs out. If Archiagent ever tells you **Sign in expired. Please refresh and sign in again.**, reload the page and go through the sign-in steps once more.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the trip back from app.luw\.ai fails, you land on a page saying that something went wrong. Try signing in again. If it keeps happening, use the **support** link on that page, or write to <support@luvi.io>.
{% endhint %}

## Try it out in demo mode

You don't need an account to look around. Open studio.luw\.ai without signing in and the editor runs in demo mode, with the amber notice in the top bar to remind you.

| Works in demo mode | Needs you to sign in |

| Painting with the built-in materials in the **Paint** tab | **Render** in the viewer toolbar, and `Enter` to render from Walkthrough |

| | AI textures, and uploading an image to use as a texture |
| | Guide images and scans, and dropping a picture or PDF onto the view |

Clicking something that needs an account either takes you to sign-in or shows a short message with a **Sign in** button, such as **Sign in to bring images into your project.**

Demo mode doesn't use any credits, since none of the AI features are available in it.

{% hint style="info" %}
Nothing you build in demo mode is saved. Signing in takes you away to app.luw\.ai and back, and the demo scene doesn't make the trip. If you want to keep what you're about to draw, sign in first.
{% endhint %}

## Sign out

Open the **Account menu** (the round purple button at the right of the top bar) and choose **Sign out**. The Studio forgets your session on this browser and goes back to demo mode, so anything you do after that isn't saved. Your projects stay safe in your Luw\.ai account for the next time you sign in.

## Switch to another account

To change accounts, choose **Sign out** from the **Account menu**, then click **Sign in** and log in to app.luw\.ai with the other account.

Each account only ever sees its own projects, credits and libraries. Your preferences on this browser, such as units, sound, sidebar and theme, stay the same whichever account is signed in.

### When a link wants to switch you

Other Luw\.ai apps can open the Studio with a file or a prompt already attached, and some of those links carry a sign-in with them. If the link belongs to a different Luw\.ai account than the one you're using, the Studio stops and asks **Switch accounts?** before doing anything.

* **Stay signed in** keeps your own account. Whatever the link brings opens in your account instead. This is the default, so `Enter` or `Esc` both keep you where you are.
* **Switch account** signs this browser out of your account, closes your open project, and continues with the account from the link.

A link is something anyone can send, so only switch when you know whose account it is.

## Manage your account

Your profile, plan, billing and credits all live on app.luw\.ai, not in the Studio. The Studio has no settings or profile pages of its own: the **Account menu** only holds **Sign out** (plus your preferences on a phone).

To get there, open [app.luw.ai](https://app.luw.ai) in your browser, or click the credit badge in the top bar, which opens [your account page](https://app.luw.ai/dashboard/account) in a new tab.

## Set your language, theme and sound

Three small buttons sit to the left of the credit badge.

### Language

Click the **Language** button (the translate icon) and pick one of 26 languages. Each one is listed under its own name, so you can always find yours:

English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Czech, Danish, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Chinese (Traditional).

Your choice isn't limited to the Studio. It's shared with luw\.ai and app.luw\.ai, and when you're signed in it's also stored with your Luw\.ai account:

* Change the language on any of the three sites and the others follow. If the Studio is already open in another tab, it switches the next time you look at it.
* On a new computer or browser where you haven't chosen a language yet, the Studio uses the one saved in your account once you sign in.
* Otherwise the Studio starts in English.

{% hint style="info" %}
In Arabic and Hebrew, each piece of text reads right to left, but the editor's layout itself doesn't flip. Panels, toolbars and the rail stay on the same side as in every other language.
{% endhint %}

### Theme

The sun or moon button switches the Studio between its light and dark looks. It starts in light. Your choice is remembered on this browser.

### Sound

The speaker button turns the editor's sound effects on and off. The first time you visit, sound is muted, so click it if you'd like to hear the clicks and snaps as you build.

## Use the Studio on a phone

Luw\.ai Studio is built for a desktop browser or an iPad. On a narrower screen (under 768 pixels wide) it opens with a **Desktop recommended** message. Tap **I understand — continue anyway** to carry on.

To save space on a small screen, the language, theme and sound buttons move into a menu:

* Signed in, open the **Account menu**. You'll find **Language**, **Theme** (showing **Dark** or **Light**) and **Sound** (showing **Muted** or **On**) above **Sign out**.
* Signed out, the same three items are in the gear button (**Open settings**) next to **Sign in**.

The amber demo-mode notice is also hidden on narrow screens. The **Sign in** button is still there.
