# Sketch

Turn a hand sketch or line drawing of a room or building into a realistic image.

Sketch turns a drawing into a realistic picture. Upload a hand sketch or line drawing of a room or a building, choose a type and styles, and get a photo-like version of it.

## What you need

* A sketch or drawing of an interior or exterior: a scan, a photo of a paper sketch or a digital line drawing.
* Credits for each design. See [Credits](#credits).

## Turn a sketch into a picture

1. Open **Sketch** from the Dashboard, or pick it in **All Tools**.
2. Upload your drawing. See [Uploading images](/luw.ai-app-docs/working-with-images/uploading-images.md). The form moves on to **Customize and Generate** by itself.
3. Pick a **Type**, for example a room or an exterior, so the AI knows what the drawing shows.
4. Open **Styles** and choose up to three styles.
5. If you like, describe details in **Prompt**, for example colours or materials.
6. Choose **Designs**, **Visual Strength** and **Model**.
7. Press **Generate Image with AI**. The result appears in **Latest Designs**.

## Settings

| Setting                      | What it does                                                                                                                             |
| ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **History & Change Persona** | Switches to another persona or starts a new one. See [Personas and history](/luw.ai-app-docs/getting-started/personas.md).               |
| **Type**                     | The kind of space in the drawing. The list has both rooms and exteriors. × clears it.                                                    |
| **Style Transfer**           | Adds a slot for a photo whose style you want to copy. While it's on, the prompt, Styles, Prompt Enhancer and Visual Strength are hidden. |
| **Styles**                   | Pick up to three styles from the picker.                                                                                                 |
| **Prompt**                   | Optional. Describe what you want in your own words.                                                                                      |
| **Prompt Enhancer**          | Rewrites your prompt into a fuller one before generating. Off by default here.                                                           |
| **Designs**                  | How many results to make at once (1–4). Each one is a separate generation. The free plan makes 1.                                        |
| **Visual Strength**          | **Precise** follows your lines more closely, **Creative** changes more. **Balanced** is the default.                                     |
| **Model**                    | **Symphony** (default) or **Aria**.                                                                                                      |

## Tips

* Clean, dark lines on a white background give the AI the clearest picture of your layout.
* Set **Type**. It tells the AI whether the drawing is a room or a building, which matters most for loose sketches.
* Use **Precise** when proportions and furniture positions must stay as drawn, and **Creative** when the sketch is only a rough idea.
* Have a reference photo with the look you want? Turn on **Style Transfer** and add it instead of picking styles.
