# Interior AI

Redesign a room from a photo by choosing the room type, up to three styles and a short prompt, or by copying the style of another photo.

Interior AI redesigns a room from a photo. You choose the room type and styles, add a few words if you like, and get new designs of the same space. It works for homeowners planning a makeover as well as designers showing options to clients.

## What you need

* A photo of the room. See [Uploading images](/luw.ai-app-docs/working-with-images/uploading-images.md) for the file types you can use.
* An empty room works too: turn on **Fill Empty Room** to furnish it.
* Optional: reference pictures for **Add Extra Images**, or one photo whose style you want to copy for **Style Transfer**.
* No photo yet? Use **Generate Image with AI** in the upload area to [make one first](/luw.ai-app-docs/working-with-images/generate-an-image.md).

## Redesign a room

1. Open **Interior** from the Dashboard or from **All Tools** (app.luw\.ai/interior-ai).
2. Upload your photo. When the upload finishes, the form moves to **Customize and Generate** by itself.
3. Pick the room in **Type**, for example **Bedroom**.
4. Open **Styles** and choose up to three styles.
5. Optional: describe what you want in the **Prompt** box, for example "warm oak floor, linen bedding, soft evening light".
6. Choose the number of **Designs**, the **Visual Strength**, the **Model** and the **HD** size.
7. Press **Generate Image with AI**. Your designs appear in **Latest Designs** below the form. Click one to open it in the [result viewer](/luw.ai-app-docs/results/result-viewer.md).

### Copy the style of another photo

Turn on **Style Transfer** and add a picture in the **Add Photo for Style Transfer** slot. Your room is redesigned in the style of that picture. While Style Transfer is on, the **Prompt**, **Styles**, **Add Extra Images**, **Prompt Enhancer**, **Visual Strength** and **Fill Empty Room** settings are hidden, because the style comes from the photo. If you press Generate without adding the style photo, the app reminds you to add it.

### Furnish an empty room

Turn on **Fill Empty Room** to furnish a room that has no furniture. Results made this way carry a **Fill Empty Room** tag in the result viewer.

### Follow a smart suggestion

Right after the upload, Interior takes a quick look at your photo and may show a [smart suggestion](/luw.ai-app-docs/working-with-images/smart-suggestions.md):

* **Smart suggestion: Floor plan** with **Open in Studio**, which opens the plan in [Luw.ai Studio](/luw.ai-app-docs/connect/luw-ai-studio.md). If you stay in Interior instead, the floor plan is rendered as a 3D view of the plan.
* **Smart suggestion: Fill Empty Room** with a button that turns **Fill Empty Room** on for you.
* If the photo shows the outside of a building, a suggestion offers to switch to [Exterior AI](/luw.ai-app-docs/redesign-spaces/exterior-ai.md).

Click the **×** on a suggestion to dismiss it.

## Settings

| Setting                      | What it does                                                                                                               |
| ---------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **History & Change Persona** | Switches to another persona or starts a new one. See [Personas and history](/luw.ai-app-docs/getting-started/personas.md). |
| **Style Transfer**           | Takes the style from a photo you add instead of from styles and a prompt.                                                  |
| **Add Extra Images**         | Six slots for reference images. Opens by itself when the persona already has extra images.                                 |
| **Type**                     | The kind of room: Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom, Attic, Dining Room and more. The **×** clears it.               |
| **Styles**                   | Opens the style picker. Choose up to 3 styles; click a style again to remove it.                                           |
| **Fill Empty Room**          | Furnishes an empty room.                                                                                                   |
| **Prompt**                   | What you want, in your own words.                                                                                          |
| **Prompt Enhancer**          | Rewrites your prompt into a fuller one before generating. On by default here.                                              |
| **Designs**                  | How many results to make: 1, 2, 3 or 4. The free plan makes 1.                                                             |
| **Visual Strength**          | How closely the result keeps your photo: **Precise** keeps more, **Creative** changes more. **Balanced** is the default.   |
| **Model**                    | **Symphony** (default) or **Aria**. Both cost the same here.                                                               |
| **HD**                       | Output resolution: **2K** or **4K**. On the free plan the output is 0.5K and 2K/4K are locked.                             |

## Credits

Each design uses 1 credit; the line under the button reads "1 token / generation". With **HD** set to **4K**, each design uses 1 more credit. The line shows the price of one design, so 3 designs cost three times as much.

## Tips

* Start with **Balanced**. Switch to **Precise** if the room's layout changes too much, or to **Creative** for a bolder makeover.
* **Prompt Enhancer** rewrites your words. Turn it off when you want your prompt used exactly as written.
* Set **Designs** to 2 to 4 to compare several options from one press of the button.
* To fix one detail of a result, open it and use **AI-Powered Magic Edit**, or send it to another tool with **Open with…**. See [Edit and reuse a result](/luw.ai-app-docs/results/edit-and-reuse.md).
