# Language and theme

Switch the Luw\.ai interface to one of 26 languages and choose a light, dark or system theme.

This page shows how to change the language of the interface and switch between light and dark themes.

## Change the language

1. Click **Language** near the bottom of the left sidebar.
2. In the window that opens, click the language you want. Each one is listed in its own name, with a flag, and your current language is highlighted.

The interface switches straight away and the window closes. To leave without changing anything, click **Close**.

The interface is available in 26 languages:

These docs use the English labels. If your interface is in another language, the buttons have the same places but translated names.

## Change the theme

1. Click **Dark Mode** near the bottom of the left sidebar.
2. Choose **Light Mode**, **Dark Mode** or **System**.

**System** follows your device's own light or dark setting, so the app changes along with it.

## On a phone

On a phone there is no sidebar. Open the menu in the top bar: along with the pages and your account, it holds the language and theme options.

## Where your choice is kept

Your language and theme are remembered in this browser, and saved to your account when you're signed in. When you sign in on a new device, it starts with the language and theme you chose last. You can still pick something different on each device.
