# Floor Planner AI

Floor Planner AI opens Luw\.ai Studio, the browser-based 3D building editor, either empty or with your floor plan loaded.

Floor Planner AI is the doorway to **Luw\.ai Studio**, our browser-based 3D building editor. It doesn't generate anything inside app.luw\.ai. Instead it opens Studio in a new tab, either empty or with your floor plan loaded as an editable scene.

## What you need

* Nothing to start an empty project.
* A floor plan image, if you want Studio to start from it.

## Open Studio

1. Open **Floor Planner** from the Dashboard (badge **Beta**), or pick **Floor Planner AI** in **All Tools**.
2. Choose how to start:
   * **Launch Studio** opens Studio in a new tab.
   * **Upload your floor plan and start** asks for an image of your plan. While it uploads you see "Uploading your floor plan…", and then it "Opens straight in Studio as an editable scene."
3. Carry on in Studio. Everything from here is covered in the [Luw.ai Studio docs](https://luw-ai.gitbook.io/luw.ai-studio).

## Other ways into Studio

You can also reach Studio from:

* **Studio ↗** in the left sidebar, or the **Studio ↗** tab on the Dashboard.
* **Open with… → Studio** on an uploaded photo or a result.
* **Open in Studio** in Interior AI, when the photo you upload is a floor plan. See [Smart suggestions](/luw.ai-app-docs/working-with-images/smart-suggestions.md).

## Credits

Floor Planner AI itself uses no credits, because it doesn't generate anything in app.luw\.ai. For what happens inside Studio, see the [Luw.ai Studio docs](https://luw-ai.gitbook.io/luw.ai-studio).

## Tips

* No floor plan yet? The page suggests creating one with [Fluw](/luw.ai-app-docs/render-and-create/fluw.md) or [Magic Prompt AI](/luw.ai-app-docs/edit-images/magic-prompt-ai.md), then bringing it back here.
* Uploaded a floor plan to Interior AI? The **Open in Studio** suggestion takes it to Studio. If you stay in Interior, you get a 3D view of the plan instead.
* Floor Planner AI isn't in the **Open with…** list. To send a picture to Studio, choose **Studio** there.
